Third Party Data
First of all, sorry for the lack of updates recently. We've just put some more third party forecast and lightning charts lower down on this page. Recently, we've had quite a few requests for shipping forecasts and for rather obscure archived data for non uk locations. We are able and willing to give UK forecasts etc. but please direct international requests elsewhere.

On the right is a rather pretty cirrus plume, snapped over the Weather.uk.com headquarters. After this photo was taken, at least three more appeared. Email us if you have any more examples of weather phenomena, and we'll put them on the site.

Camel Estuary Wind Feed
The first stage of our pilot wind feed project was completed last month. The data-collection equipment has now been installed. Stage two, which should be completed in the near future, will involve establishing a continuous feed to the internet. There has been much interest in this project, if you would like to know more click here, or email wind@weather.uk.com for full details, or to register an interest in using this service in your business.

RST Forecaster
Over the past months we have been working closely with the highway maintenance industry to produce a fully working road surface temperature model. There has been a lot of press coverage about ice prediction systems this winter, with the blizzards on the M11 etc. Weather.uk.com has completed the first online forecast model for road surface temperature, that writes both full tabulated results, and graphical outputs.

  • RST Forecaster can be found here.

Unfortunately, the model is only open to Microsoft Internet Explorer users. If you have any questions regarding the use of the model, please email rst@weather.uk.com.
